The Missing Voice: An Ethics-Grounded Arabic Podcast as a Public Mental Health Initiative in the Arab World

بودكاست الصحة النفسية is a fully Arabic-language mental health podcast addressing an unmet gap: competent practitioners communicate in mixed Arabic-English, excluding much of the Arab public, while fully Arabic content is often unqualified and medically oriented. The counseling perspective has been absent—until now.
The podcast pairs a person-centered counseling psychologist with a lay software engineer co-host, who functions structurally as a group co-facilitator: voicing the audience's resistances and misconceptions. Content is ethics-grounded, ACA-informed, and deliberately distinct from pop psychology. In two years: 20M views, 250K followers, 12K monthly listeners.
This presentation examines the unmet needs in the Arab world and how ethical media can act as a force for systemic change.
